Shopify has redefined commerce, setting the standard for how companies of all sizes sell their products and services online and off. With 200,000+ customers and the most innovative platform on the market, we continue to grow rapidly and are constantly looking for new ways to impact and disrupt markets. To accelerate our growth, we’re searching for an exceptional person, fluent in both French and English to join Shopify’s Content Marketing Team in Montreal or/and Toronto. Your task will be to create compelling French language content that helps our merchants build, launch and grow successful businesses on Shopify. You’ll be writing new original French blog posts, overseeing the translation of existing English content into French, as well as creating other communications materials to support our international marketing goals. We need someone who is resourceful and can take ownership of our French language projects. You’ll be playing a critical role in our effort to reach a more international audience and helping Shopify truly become a global commerce platform.   You’ll need to have:
  • A passion for digital marketing and entrepreneurship.
  • A strong grasp of content marketing fundamentals, an understanding of traditional copywriting techniques, and the ability to write clearly and persuasively.
  • A solid understanding of SEO and how to create content that ranks well in search engines.
  • An understanding of regional and cultural nuances that exist within the French language audience.
    It’d be great if you have experience with:
  • Building projects and getting traction for them with content.
  • French blogs and publications in the retail / online marketing space.
  • Publishing on industry blogs and websites.
  • Translating content from English to French, editing other people’s work, managing writers and managing an editorial calendar.
  • Having an existing audience (even if it’s small).
