We’re looking to hire a Product Owner to lead and maintain the focus of 1-2 of our feature-development teams. If you love the idea of owning a core part of a product and rapidly iterating based on user research and metrics, this role is for you!
You'll Work To:
Develop a deep understanding of our users (teachers, parents, and of course students), the problems they face, and how Prodigy can resolve those pain points
Collaborate in a cross functional team(s) with developers, designers, artists and QA, and create a user-centered team culture with a vision that everyone has bought into
Curate the project and feature backlog to ensure your team is always working on the project that offers the most value to our end users, balancing the development of new features, iterations, bug fixes, and other internal tasks
Talk to users every week, getting insight into features you’ve released and validating ideas before you build themTrack and analyze metrics at every part of the user journey so that you can focus in on the highest value opportunities
Effectively scope projects so that they are lean but also add enough value to validate your hypothesesIterate upon successful MVPs to ensure the user experience and quality matches our internal standards
Consistently communicate what your team is working on and releasing to teams such as Customer Support and Sales
Champion the accomplishments of your team to the rest of the company, ensuring that proper recognition is given when appropriate
What You'll Need:
3+ years of experience in a product/project management role within the games industry
A solid knowledge base and understanding of the video game industry, including the major companies, brands and innovations
A clear passion for building a great product, and the ability to create a vision that inspires your team
Substantial experience using user research and metrics to add significant value to a product
A solid understanding of statistics, including the ability to analyze A/B test results and determine statistical significance
The ability to break down large projects into manageable tasks
Experience working closely with developers, designers, artists, and other team members
Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present a strong rationale for product decisions
A passion for video games, and the work that goes into them
Willingness to learn and work in a hyper-growth company
