SEO & Content Marketer

Bus.com began less than 5 years ago with the intention of improving the entirety of the transportation industry through buses. In just a few years we’ve grown to a team of 70 passionate individuals, participated in Y Combinator (the world’s most prestigious accelerator), raised over $6.5 million from some of the most experienced venture capitalists (BMW iVentures, Jackson Square Ventures, and Real Ventures), worked with incredible organizations (Uber, Dropbox, NBA, Coachella).

At Bus.com, we’re aligning the demands of bus renters and event planners with the supply of small charter bus companies.

The result is a transformative charter bus marketplace that delivers an exceptional customer experience. We’re currently growing rapidly, and the key to continued development is passionate individuals that can put team success over individual wins.

Role Description

As an SEO & Content Marketer on Bus.com’s marketing team, you will be working on a variety of projects aimed at growing Bus.com’s online presence, and our website’s organic traffic.

You will be helping us grow by optimizing content for discoverability, scaling our link-building strategy, and working with our Content and SEO Specialists to scale our on-site, blog, and social media content. You’ll also be collaborating closely with our Digital Marketers to reconcile SEO tactics with our users’ online experience, and with our Designers & Content Writers to uphold our brand’s integrity.

Responsibilities

A typical day for you at Bus.com might go something like this:
  • Reaching out to bloggers for content collaborations & link-building.
  • Identifying user needs through analysing keyword searches and trends.
  • Writing, editing, and optimizing content following SEO best practices
  • Creating content and posting to our social media channels.
  • Brainstorming and implementing new local SEO tactics.
Experience & Requirements
  • 1-2 years experience link-building.
  • Strong long-form and creative writing skills.
  • Experience, or an interest in social media marketing and community management.
  • Fluency in English & French.
Assets
  • Experience writing for the transportation industry, online marketplaces, or event-planning software.
  • Knowledge of SEO and reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Google Trends, Moz campaigns, or more.
