Job Summary

Title: External Associate Producer

Reports to : Senior Outsourcing Manager

Duties :

  • External Associate Producer should be able to tackle mandates with a medium degree of complexity;
  • Create and maintain detailed schedules for sub-project teams and/or external teams;
  • Create or help and maintain comprehensive project documentation for given areas;
  • Monitor sub-project teams progress/performance: scope, hours/capacity, velocity etc;
  • Report & escalate issues & risks;
  • Go to person for small External Mandates;
  • Responsible for reporting on progress for sub-project teams;
  • Organize internal feedback and sign-off procedures and act as the primary point of contact for communication with Outsource Vendors;
  • Provides direction for multiple External Vendors while maintaining short-term and long-term outsourcing pipelines.

Profile :

Experience and qualifications

  • Strong understanding of scheduling and tracking with asset and project management tools;
  • Diverse knowledge in all aspects of video game production;
  • Game shipping experience across various consoles;
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects/multi-task;
  • Understanding of internal and external vendor pipelines and processes;
  • Experience with tracking tools (JIRA, PERFORCE, SHOTGUN, BASECAMP etc..);
  • Experience with a wide range of outsourcing issues such as flagging & solving various bottlenecks;
  • Demonstrate good negotiation skills;
  • Leverage external production knowledge to explore opportunities with new partners;
  • Travel could be required for the position as is working with remote teams;
  • Team player, sense of humor and positive attitude;
  • Bilingual (French and English).

  • Strong communication and presentation skills;
  • Able to work on multiple tasks;
  • Able to collaborate with other departments (design, art, animation, narrative, progs., management, etc.);
  • Be at ease in a team driven by constant improvements;
  • Capable of quick-learning and clear communication of what was learned;
  • Maturity to give and receive constructive feedback.
