We are looking for a level designer to architect game levels and implement gameplay situations. Staging exploration and dialogue sequences, they are in charge of the level's layout and pacing.
Our ideal candidate is someone who works well in small teams and wants to have a significant impact on a meaningful game.

Impossible is a small indie studio based in Montreal currently developing its first title, Été, an interactive experience exploring time and memory through impressionistic vignettes.

Fill a blank canvas with vivid memories as you explore the summer with ink, music and photographs. Wander into open city scenes, collect ephemera and meet charming characters as you unfold an immersive world filled with everyday wonders.
Responsibilities
Help bring the storyboard to life through gameplay areas and cinematic-spaces
Create the initial level blocking using CSG tools
Work with the environment artist to compose interior and exterior scenes in Unity
Integrate mechanics, systems and gameplay elements in the levels
Iterate, improve and polish game sequences
Qualifications
Proficient in the Unity Editor
Experience in the video game industry
Shipped a narrative or exploration based title
Fluency in both English and French
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate and drive feature development
Canadian citizenship or permanent residence
Extras
Scripting or visual scripting experience
Interest for alternative games and art
Capacity for continuous improvement
