Job Summary

As Metrio’s Product Designer, you will be representing all of our users and be their voice within the product group. Your role will be key in influencing the future of our products through designing the features and new products of METRIO’S sustainability software suite. 

Your Contribution:
  • Combine research and data insights into a user-centered design process.
  • Seek out, understand and incorporate qualitative and quantitative feedback throughout the design process.
  • Define all aspects of our product identity.
  • Turn ideas into simple and usable prototypes that provide an exceptional customer experience.
  • Design and prototype new products and features to bring product requirements to life.
  • Solve product problems with a focus on the best user experience while balancing company goals, design cohesion, and ease of implementation.
  • Lead the evolution of the design process by analysing key insights, competitive market data.
  • Setup and manage our Users Advisory Board.
What you will do:
  • Own all stages of the design process from concept through launch.
  • Be connected to clients and stakeholders and understand their business objectives, needs and key issues.
  • Have a strong understanding of the product development process, from problem definition to detailed UI and visual design.
  • Use good judgement to make appropriate tradeoffs to speed up product learning and balance competing priorities.
  • Collaborate with the development team and product management to document design requirements and ensure products are built to spec with the Product Owner.
  • Contribute and feed the UI/UX Designers to build compelling design elements, interface prototypes and overall user experience workflow.
  • Work autonomously in a cross-functional, agile product group with Product Managers, Product Owners, Engineers, and Data Analysts to prioritize and build new features.
Your profile:
  • 4-5 years of product design experience at a tech company.
  • Demonstrated experience in both visual and interactive design.
  • Entrepreneur mindset and go getter attitude.
  • Ability to communicate decisions openly and confidently.
  • A portfolio of your work that outlines the problems you were tackling with your design work and the process you applied to resolve those challenges.
  • Experience working and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic environment and comfortable in Agile process.
