Job Summary
Digital Dimension is seeking a Pipeline Developer to join our development team in the implementation of animation production tools and workflows. You will be responsible for developing and supporting tools to accelerate workflow in the production of high-quality animation. The ideal candidate will have a love of practical problem solving and an affinity for improving the day-to-day workflow of production artists.
Your role :
- Work within the development team to implement workflows for the production pipeline;
- Collaborate with production to develop core pipeline tools and processes for content creators;
- Work independently or across disciplines to both investigate issues and identify solutions;
- Create and update documentation explaining our processes and tools;
- Adapt quickly to new software and methodologies;
- Be proactive, positive, forward thinking, and collaborative with others.
Your experiences and qualifications :
- A degree in computer science, 3D animation or the equivalent in work experience;
- Excellent knowledge of Python;
- Experience developing tools using DCC APIs such as Maya, Nuke or Houdini;
- Detail-oriented mindset with a strong ability to multitask;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
Assets:
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Experience with PyQt or PySide
- Experience with Shotgun, Shotgun Toolkit
- Proficiency in 3D math and computer graphics
- Experience in Animation / VFX / Gaming industry
