Job Summary

Reporting to the Production Vice-president, the Producer is responsible for the delivery of his projects in terms of product quality, according to the established deadlines and profitability, and must ensure effective and optimal communication with clients in order to meet Frima's customer service quality standards. He collaborates with the Production Vice-president and the senior producers in the implementation of good production practices and ensures follow-up when required with the associate producers and/or project coordinators assigned to his projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze, in collaboration with his team, the projects' needs, define and maintain the work plan and establish priorities;
  • Act as a consultant to the client and the Business Development team to clarify needs and expectations and validate the defined plan;
  • Establish the production guideline for each game under his responsibility and monitor it;
  • Establish the planning of the workforce required on his projects according to the expertise needs and project milestones;
  • Make optimal use of resources on his projects and throughout the studio through good resource planning for each of his projects, a sound use of tools for this purpose and good communication with the other expertise managers;
  • Be responsible for the relationship and communications with the clients of the projects under his responsibility;
  • Validate with the client the quality and consistency of all game elements throughout the production process;
  • Follow up on the stage gates to ensure the progress of the projects within budget, on time and with quality according to Frima's standards of excellence;
  • Conduct risk analysis on projects and propose solutions, in collaboration with the production team, in order to deal with possible delays and budget overruns, technical problems, etc.;
  • Prepare and lead monthly project review meetings in relation to current projects;
  • Collaborates and ensures the follow-up, application and control of the orientations, objectives and directives given by the production management;
  • Participate in talent management reviews with expertise managers when required to ensure and maintain the performance of project teams;
  • Collaborate, when required, in the various development projects of the production expertise community.
Requirements: 
  • Bachelor's degree in administration, project management or other relevant field related to video game development;
  • Recognized project management certification will be considered an asset;
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant project management experience in the video game industry or in a similar field;
  • Diversified experience on projects of different sizes and on different platforms;
  • Bilingualism required;
  • Very good knowledge of management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Google Suite, etc.

  • Excellent culture in the video game industry;
  • Understanding of all aspects of game development as well as the interrelationships between the different professions;
  • Ability to adapt;
  • Excellent analytical, judgement and problem-solving skills;
  • Sense of organization, stress management and priorities;
  • Proactivity, rigour and professionalism;
  • Focused on action, results and quality;
  • Good communication skills (oral and written) in French and English.
