Job purpose :

Provide senior technical leadership to the business. As a strategic contributor to the business’ growth and evolution, this role is expected to proactively lay foundations to realize scalable growth, continuously improve and mature our systems and processes, and expand our capabilities and offerings.

This role contributes greatly to the vision of technological opportunities and challenges that impact the business.

The role is responsible for a combination of leading the oversight of software development, delivery of networking solutions and managed services, internal corporate IT strategy and management, , and supporting business growth by bringing new networking solutions and services to the market promptly.

Great expertise in IT networking, security, and software development is critical for this role.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

Deliver networking services and solutions to customers

  • Oversee the delivery and profitability of networking managed and professional services, including project management and delivery.
  • Meet or exceed SLAs and SLOs.
  • Provide leadership over major incidents and customer escalations as required.

Drive profitable growth in the expansion of networking solutions and services

  • Collaborate with Product Management on scalable product / solution vision and deliver on roadmap to expand the company’s networking portfolio and service offering.
  • Lead the innovation of our Managed Network Platform through automation, machine learning, AI, integrations and UI / UX for various stakeholders.
  • Support commercial discussions and ensure complex customer needs are met with the proposed networking solutions.

Lead change and drive continuous improvement across the organization

Work closely as a decision-maker or advisor with other leaders to prioritize and coordinate IT investments to transform internal and customer-facing processes.

Direct and organize internal IT-related projects to ensure the business derives value out of IT investments.

  • Researching, selecting, and implementing suitable technologies (within agreed-upon timelines) to improve infrastructure, streamline internal operations, and help optimize their strategic benefits.
  • Play a leadership role to shift culture as required.
  • Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantage.

Ensure that IT operations, systems, infrastructure, and processes support the business and increase profitability.

  • Ensures business processes are compliant and running efficiently, helping employees increase their productivity.
  • Analyze the costs, value, and risks of IT to advise management and suggest actions.
  • Approve purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT providers.

Implement corporate standards and policies required to meet security, privacy, and compliance requirements of the business.

Regarding security, articulate what can go wrong, how it can be fixed, and how much the resolution will cost.
