Summary

This role offers an opportunity for hands-on experience in software maintenance and troubleshooting under the guidance of experienced professionals. The intern will gain exposure to a variety of technologies and work closely with a mentor to enhance their skills in programming, database management, and system troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java.
  • Understanding of computer hardware and architecture.
  • Ability to troubleshoot applications with guidance.
  • Background or education in Linux and MySQL.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as JavaScript and C++ (optional).
  • Understanding of database maintenance principles.
  • Knowledge of LAN and WAN configurations.

Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements

Work Experience:

  • IT Related work in programming or Hardware installation.
  • Monitoring of system and reviewing logs.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Basic programming and reporting skills.
  • Basic knowledge on SQL, Windows, Linux and Java experience.
  • Excellent English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Education:

  • New Graduates or above 2nd year in a computer science or equivalent program in IT.

Working Conditions

  • Working Hours: 16 hours per week, mostly remote.
  • Customer Site Visits: 1 visit per week to ICAO site.
  • On-boarding: On-boarding sessions in Montreal; possibility of additional on-boarding in Germany.

Physical Requirements

  • Racking and network cable installation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
