We are looking for a dynamic Chief Revenue Officer to open up new paths to revenue and build the teams to get there.

In this strategic role of senior management, the CRO will help to create and grow all revenue-generation business units, supporting the CEO in building the sales and marketing organization to achieve GENAIZ’s revenue targets and growth goals.

That said, the three main tasks and responsibilities of the CRO are :

  • Grow. You will be responsible for building all sales and marketing teams from the ground up. This includes a strong sales team, channel and partner relationship functions as well as demand creation and customer satisfaction. You will define and deliver the products commercialization strategies that drive growth through the GENAIZ AI marketplace.
  • Monitor & Align. You will put in place metrics and KPIs to assess all products performance across the GENAIZ AI marketplace. You will monitor all aspects of the revenue creation processes and teams to adjust strategy when necessary. You will ensure team members' performance and alignment between corporate goals and their development.
  • Set up long term strategies. You will work on forecasts and set up budget projections based on the market potential for each product. You are in charge of ensuring optimal investments in sales, marketing, and channels teams to attain revenue forecast. You will develop models to assess the organization performance, and you will produce reports for the board and VC.

You will be a leader, mentor, and agent of positive change throughout the company.

Key competences :

To succeed in this role, you will need to :

  • Demonstrate the ability to significantly grow revenues in a start-up company in the technology sector along with building strong marketing and sales teams (important)
  • Have a demonstrated ability to articulate a simple vision or rendering of a very complex technological product
  • Proven ability to interact with executives and influence the sales process at all levels in an organization.
  • Be aligned with the company's vision, purpose, and core values
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Be bilingual (French and English)
  • Be able to effectively resolve problems and conflicts in a practical and healthy way
  • Have a very strong sense of customer service and customer relationships
  • Ability to multitask, organize, plan and prioritize work, and help team members do the same.
  • Have high standards of ethics, confidentiality, and reliability

  • Relevant experience :

  • Similar experience in a technology start-up
  • An MBA (or equivalent) degree in Business or related fields.
  • Extensive professional experience (10 years or more) in positions related to revenue generation, such as marketing, product development, customer success, sales, revenue management, etc.
  • Experience in supervising and leading large teams, ensuring seamless collaboration, and creating effective corporate communication processes within cross-functional teams.
  • Thorough understanding of revenue cycle, revenue operations, and other related concepts and activities, and their role in different business models.
  • Good understanding of their company’s business strategy history, products, and services.
  • Proven experience in creating and executing effective business strategies.
  • Thorough understanding and comfort in using large amounts of data for making more data-driven business decisions.
  • Strong ability to communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders and other C-Suite executives.
  • Experience in the life sciences sector an asset
