We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Senior Developer Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to analyze, develop, and maintain a diverse stack of applications ranging from legacy to modern technologies. This role involves working on critical systems that require strong technical expertise. The candidate must be open to work with legacy technologies as part of maintaining and upgrading existing systems.

  • Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, develop, and maintain applications across a variety of technologies.
  • Ensure proper support for multiple critical applications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Write, optimize, and maintain T-SQL stored procedures and scripts.
  • Develop and maintain code using C# .NET, VB.NET, and other technologies.
  • Debug and improve existing codebases, including legacy technologies.
  • Document technical solutions and maintain system documentation.
  • Ensure proper incident and change management.
  • Participate in IT internal and external audits.
  • Qualifications

  • University degree in computer science or a related field and a minimum of 7 to 8 years of related experience. All other combinations of education and equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Strong proficiency in C# .NET and VB.NET.
  • Expertise in PowerShell scripting and T-SQL development, including stored procedures.
  • Solid understanding of application lifecycle management and critical systems.
  • Effective communication skills in English and French.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure (incidents, tight deadlines, and several projects at once)
  • Assets

  • Knowledge of Java, C++ and Python.
  • Familiarity with legacy technologies such as Microsoft Access, VBA, VB6 and Windows scripting (batch files).
  • Knowledge of Git for version control.
  • Ability to navigate into Linux systems and perform basic operations via the command line.
  • Knowledge of Sybase ASE.
  • Cloud knowledge or experience with cloud platforms.
