Hello,

I'm Clémence, recruitment and business development consultant at FED IT, a recruitment agency specializing in IT professions.

I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent.

All our consultants are IT experts who speak your language and work in your environment. We cover the IT, development, business intelligence and infrastructure professions.

We are looking for an IP Video Technician / Admin to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position, 100% on site, located in Laval.

Responsabilités

This role involves a diverse range of functions, such as monitoring, support, design, staging, installation, troubleshooting and problem solving, as required. Support will include level 2 escalations, both during and outside normal office hours. The position will require regular travel to customer sites and data centers.

Qualifications et compétences requises :

  • Degree or experience in applied sciences, engineering, telecommunications or similar field.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA), or equivalent vendor certification, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Good understanding of telecommunications fundamentals.
  • Experience in video, video distribution, and IP CCTV (video surveillance over IP).
  • Knowledge of network technologies (DNS, DHCP, TCP / IP, Firewalls, Switches) as well as network protocols (IPv4 / IPv6, IGMP, PIM, HTTP).
  • Ability to provide technical and operational advice to teams in charge of IP and IT infrastructures.
  • Competence in Ethernet networking, both electrical and optical transmission.
  • Experience in problem-solving in critical situations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, in French and English.

Qualifications supplémentaires :

  • Knowledge of CODECs, containers, audio and video formats.
  • Experience in server management and operating system administration.
  • Expertise with IRDs, encoders / decoders, transcoders, Origin servers, packagers, streamers, middleware, as well as DRM / CAS systems.
  • Good understanding of unicast and multicast video traffic.
  • Experience in packet video streaming, MPEG TS, UDP multicast, as well as SPTS / MPTS.
  • Ability to perform essential technical tasks independently, without direct supervision.
  • Experience with enterprise IP networks and associated network equipment.
  • Positive, service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.

  • The use of English is required for this position for the following reasons :
  • Communication with international customers: As some of our customers are based abroad, you will be required to communicate regularly with them in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Working with English-speaking partners: You will be required to work with English-speaking suppliers and partners to monitor orders and manage contracts.
  • Drafting documents in English: You will be responsible for drafting reports, proposals and contracts in English, for our international customers.
