Mid-Level Business Development Specialist – Full-Time, Remote (Montreal, QC)

Role Description
We are looking for a Business Development Specialist to join our team in Montreal, QC. This full-time role focuses on researching and identifying target markets, discovering high-quality prospects, and growing our SQL pipeline. You will be responsible for:
- Lead Generation & Prospecting – Sourcing and qualifying potential customers through targeted research and outbound efforts, including cold calls, cold emails, and representations.
- Market Research & Competitive Analysis – Identifying trends, customer needs, and market opportunities.
- Calling & Outreach – Engaging prospects through outbound calls, emails, and social channels.
- SQL Discovery & Pipeline Growth – Converting high-quality leads into sales-qualified opportunities.
- Customer Engagement & Relationship Building – Developing strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strategic Business Development – Collaborating with sales and marketing teams to optimize strategies and drive revenue growth.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical & Research Skills – Ability to identify, qualify, and prioritize high-value opportunities.
- Lead Generation & Market Research Experience – Proficiency in prospecting, data mining, and competitive intelligence.
- Excellent Communication & Customer Service Skills – Ability to engage prospects and build lasting relationships.
- Sales & Business Development Experience – Proven success in a business development or sales-related role.
- Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking – Ability to overcome objections and find creative solutions.
- Interpersonal & Relationship-Building Skills – Strong ability to connect with decision-makers.
- Fluency in French & English – Full professional proficiency in both languages is required.
- Startup Hustler Mentality – Self-starter with a proactive, hands-on approach to challenges.
- Always-Be-Closing (ABC) Attitude – Results-driven mindset with a strong focus on closing deals and hitting targets.
- Do-It-All Mentality – Willingness to take on multiple responsibilities, adapt quickly, and execute with urgency.
- 3–5 Years of Experience – Proven track record in business development, sales, or related fields.
- Industry Experience in Transportation & Logistics (T&L) is a Plus – Strong consideration for candidates with experience in T&L, supply chain, or freight forwarding.
- Must Be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident, Must Reside in the Province of Quebec – Authorization to work in Canada is required. Candidates must be based in Quebec to support regional business development efforts.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a Related Field.
