Hlx are currently partnered with a cutting-edge medical device company in Montreal. Their collaborative team leverages innovative research, design, and manufacturing expertise to deliver products that make a meaningful impact on human health.

They're seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer, to support the precision machining of components for their cutting-edge medical devices. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various machinery and a strong understanding of machining processes.

Responsabilités

  • Precision Machining: Produce high-quality medical device components based on engineering drawings and CAD designs.
  • CNC Programming: Write, debug, and optimize machine code (e.g., G-code, M-code) for CNC machines to ensure precise operations.
  • Automation Development: Develop and implement custom automation routines and scripts to streamline machining processes and quality checks.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate CNC machines, lathes, and milling equipment to manufacture parts with tight tolerances.
  • Maintenance & Calibration: Perform regular maintenance and calibration of machining and programming systems to ensure peak performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, R&D, and software teams to troubleshoot and optimize component designs and integrate automation solutions.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous quality checks to ensure all parts meet regulatory standards and tight tolerances.
  • Shop Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized machine shop.
  • Prototype Support: Assist with machine setup and testing during prototype development, including integrating new programming and automation features.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives aimed at improving machining efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing automation protocols.
