Hello! We’re FortNine. We help Canadian riders access the knowledge and gear they need so that they can spend less time worrying over logistics, and more doing what they love.

We’re currently looking for our Senior UX / UI Designer , who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our digital presence! You will work closely with product teams to develop early-stage concepts and continuously optimize existing user experiences. Your work will start with our websites and later evolve into mobile app design. You will also be responsible for maintaining and expanding a robust design system across multiple properties.

FortNine is a key player in the powersports ecommerce space, with an extremely innovative talent pool. Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the end-to-end UX / UI design process for both web and mobile experiences.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other departments to conceptualize and refine features.
  • Conduct user research, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity UI design in Figma.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive design system across multiple brands across Canada and the United States, primarily our Marine Outfitter vertical, Defender Industries!
  • Optimize existing website user flows, ensuring a seamless and engaging e-commerce experience.
  • Design email marketing campaigns that drive engagement and conversion.
  • Create non-digital assets (e.g., print materials) as needed.
  • Advocate for design best practices and a user-first approach across the company.

What We're Looking For :

  • 5+ years of UX / UI design experience, preferably in e-commerce.
  • Expert in Figma and other modern design tools, such as HotJar, GA, and tools used for A / B testing.
  • Strong visual design skills with an eye for detail and consistency.
  • Experience designing and maintaining a design system across multiple properties.
  • Ability to work on both early-stage concepts and iterative optimizations.
  • Experience designing email campaigns and marketing assets.
  • Bonus : Experience with print design or other non-digital assets.
  • Self-starter mentality—comfortable sharing direction and vision during projects and growing within FortNine.
