As a Senior Advisor on the Technology, Cyber and Data Risk Management team at National Bank, you’ll act as a specialist in support of the implementation of the Bank’s risk management strategy. This role will enable you to have a positive impact on the organization by taking charge of risk governance for the 2nd line of defence.

Your role

  • Support the Management in defining and implementing the overall strategy for managing technology, cyber, and data risks in collaboration with colleagues;
  • Integrate the strategy and continuously stimulate innovation in the activities of the Vice-Presidency;
  • Update policies, standards, processes, and methods for managing technology, cyber, and data risks based on the operational risk strategy and the Vice-Presidency of Technology, Cyber, and Data Risk Management;
  • Define and monitor change management activities for technology, cyber, and data risk management processes;
  • Actively participate in activities aimed at strengthening the risk culture, including defining and implementing a risk management training and awareness program for the organization;
  • Ensure regulatory monitoring related to risks and ensure the consistency of internal processes and controls in technology, cyber, and data risk management;
  • Support the Senior Director in managing the relationship with regulators;
  • Contribute to defining performance indicators for the Vice-Presidency of Technology, Cyber, and Data Risk Management;
  • Act as a trusted advisor in technology, cyber, and data risk governance to stakeholders;
  • Anticipate problems and difficult situations and take necessary measures to resolve them.

Prerequisites

  • University degree in a related field and 7 years of relevant experience in technology and / or cybersecurity and / or data risk management
  • Knowledge of information technology and cybersecurity governance in large-scale organizations
  • Experience in managing a number of projects and initiatives simultaneously
  • High level of personal integrity and the ability to handle confidential matters in a professional manner while demonstrating an appropriate level of judgement and maturity
  • Critical thinking and synthesis skills
  • Certifications in cybersecurity and technology risk management (e.g., CISA, CRISC, CISSP)
