The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre.

Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University.

Position Summary

Research project : Multimodal AI for prediction of response and survival in bladder cancer patients treated with organ preservation approaches

Description : The student will be expected to curate the collected data and build a prediction model to predict the patients who would achieve complete response following concurrent chemoradiation.

Dataset includes clinical data, proteomic, genomic, as well as histopathology images.

General Duties

  • Curate the collected dataset
  • Pre-process data
  • Feature selection and engineering
  • Obtain data representation of histopathology slides

Standards Of Performance

  • Student will participate in weekly meetings to ensure progress,
  • Performance would be measured as follows :
  • Dataset curated and preprocessed to a state that can easily be fed into learning algorithm,
  • Good data representation of histopathology slides.

Bachelor's Degree

Field of Study : engineering / computer science / machine learning

  • Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision,

Additional information

Status : Temporary, full time

Pay Scale : Commensurate with education and experience

Must be currently enrolled in a Canadian University program and will receive a stipend or a bursary from a professor’s grant, for the purpose of allowing the student to further their own research / thesis or other program or academic requirement.

All benefits are administered by the University under which they are registered.

Work Shift : office hours mandatory

Work Site : GLEN Site, 1001 boul. Decarie
