Scrum Master - Permanent - Hybrid - Bilingual - Montreal

TALTEK is looking to fill the following position for one of its clients:

JOB SUMMARY

  • Work within a globally distributed organization to ensure consistency and continuous improvement in the application of Agile methods across the organization.
  • Identify and propose areas for improvement and issues affecting effectiveness that the teams themselves might not be aware of.
  • Support the team with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
  • Encourage fun, innovative, and imaginative work and environments for teams.
  • Bring ideas, experiments, and change to teams in a sustainable way.
  • Help the team understand the need for clear and concise product backlog items.
  • Plan and run agile ceremonies for multiple teams following scrum or Kanban methodologies.

  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Giving people the space and tools to think creatively.
  • Keeping performance and morale high under difficult and challenging circumstances.
  • Seeking constructive outcomes in discussions, challenging traditional assumptions while remaining willing to compromise when it is beneficial to progress.
  • Guide and coach leadership, product, and development teams to adopt a Lean / Agile mindset.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts by introducing best practices in line with industry trends.
  • Ensure teams have the knowledge required to successfully operate in a Lean / Agile manner.
  • Facilitate cross-team coordination and collaboration.
  • Nurture the Lean / Agile practices by developing reference and training documentation, such as guidelines and best practices.
  • Help the team identify and drive the resolution of impediments.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years of experience working hands-on in an Agile environment.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
  • 3-5 years of working with Software Development teams, preferably both remote and co-located teams.
  • Expert knowledge of various Lean / Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, User Stories, TDD, CI, etc.).
  • Skilled in change management practices necessary to successfully facilitate team and organizational transformation.
  • Able to facilitate and engage people, helping them solve their own issues.
  • Good communicator, able to deliver presentations and to train others in a clear manner.
  • Ability to engage senior management layers, in both a challenging and supportive way.
  • Understanding of backlog tracking, burn-down metrics, velocity, and task definition.
  • Extensive experience working with business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Formal training in Agile towards the CSM, CSP, CSC certifications or equivalent.
  • Have influenced an agile adoption through your coaching skills from a process improvement perspective with successful results.
  • Used agile skills to guide teams to produce complex software products.
  • Exposure and use of scaled agile practices to support many scrum teams.
  • English is required because this role requires frequent work with teams located outside Quebec and the ability to communicate with them both orally and in writing.
  • Hybrid Mode.
  • Greater Montreal.
