Purpose of the position

As an IT Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT team while ensuring exceptional service delivery across the organization. Based in the Montreal Support Office, you will lead a bilingual team and support a diverse user base across Canada and United Sates. Your leadership will drive efficiency, collaboration, and innovation in IT operations, aligning with organizational goals and values.

More specifically, your daily routine with us will look like :

  • Supervise and mentor a team of IT professionals.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ensure timely resolution of IT incidents and service requests.
  • Monitor and maintain SLA adherence and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address IT support needs.
  • Provide hands-on technical support when required.
  • Lead the implementation of IT solutions and upgrades.
  • Ensure systems are secure, up-to-date, and optimized for performance.
  • Assist in planning and executing IT projects, including infrastructure upgrades, software rollouts, and process improvements.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with timelines and budgets.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the Montreal Support Office and the National IT
  • Provide regular updates to the National Director of IT Operations.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational IT policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices.

  • Focused on providing excellent IT support and improving the end-user experience.
  • Clear communication of technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Continuously staying updated with evolving technologies and implementing best practices.
  • Expertise in aligning IT initiatives with business objectives to drive efficiency and cost savings.
  • Qualifications required :

  • IT College or university, Information Technology diploma or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in IT support and operations.
  • 2+ years of leadership or team management experience.
  • French proficiency is essential for this role and Bilingualism (English / French) is considered an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Technical Skills :

  • IT Infrastructure & Networking – Strong knowledge of network architecture, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi, servers, and cloud solutions.
  • Systems Administration – Experience with Windows and MacOS environments, including Active Directory, Azure, and M365.
  • IT Service Management (ITSM) – Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, ticketing systems, and incident management.
  • Cloud Computing – Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for system deployment and management.
  • Software & Application Support – Ability to troubleshoot and support enterprise applications and SaaS platforms.
  • Security Protocols – Knowledge of security protocols and best practices.
  • Remote Support Tools – Familiarity with ITSM platforms, ticketing systems, and remote support tools.
