What we’re looking for

Kongsberg Geospatial is seeking a Rollout Engineer to lead and support the deployment of hardware infrastructure and software systems for digital air traffic control towers across Canada. This role involves installing and configuring sensors, computer hardware, and network equipment, while ensuring seamless integration of software and conducting system validation. The position requires coordinating subcontractors, overseeing installations, and troubleshooting system issues. This is a position working out of our Ottawa, Ontario office and includes travel within Canada.

Duties include:

• Hardware & Software Configuration & Deployment
  • Set up and install computer hardware, switches, monitors, and network equipment.
  • Troubleshoot general electrical equipment.
  • Install sensors, including cameras and related equipment.
  • Ensure installations comply with design specifications and coordinate with other teams.
  • Perform software installation, configuration, and system integration to enable full system functionality.
  • Collaborate with the software team to ensure proper configuration, networking, and security settings.
  • Validate system performance post-installation by performing hardware and software checks.
• Coordination & Project Management
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee subcontractor work.
  • Ensure proper routing infrastructure is in place for sensor cabling (cable ladders, conduits, etc.).
  • Manage budgets and report financials for subprojects.
  • Track project progress and ensure timely completion of installations.
• Site & Safety Compliance
  • Understand construction site workflows and coordinate fieldwork effectively.
  • Work at heights to install equipment, following necessary safety training and protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical installation standards, liaising with skilled electricians for high-voltage work.

You Have

• A Canadian security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
• A post-secondary degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in hardware deployment, system integration, and/or software installation.
• Knowledge of IT systems; computers/servers, network equipment, data distribution, etc.
• Understanding of networking, fiber optics, and cable routing for high-performance systems.
• Proactive individual with a hands-on approach to executing and leading installation tasks.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

It will be great if you have…

• Prior experience in aerodrome or industrial hardware installation.
• Experience working on construction sites, managing subcontractors, and coordinating fieldwork.
• Certifications in workplace safety and working at heights.
