Coordinator, Translation Services
This key role, within a law firm, involves managing translation projects that require a high level of precision, both in terms of detail and deadlines. Working closely with translators, revisers, account managers, and internal clients, the incumbent will evaluate requests, coordinate project steps, assign tasks, follow up, and ensure timely delivery. The coordinator is responsible for overseeing all translation requests related to client development, administration, and internal communications, coming from various departments and stakeholders across the firm.

- Full-time position : 35 hours per week.
- Hybrid work model : In-office presence required one day per week, with more frequent presence expected initially to support training and onboarding.

Responsibilities :
Manage all aspects of administrative translation projects, including evaluation, planning, resource allocation, follow-up, and timely delivery, all while upholding high quality standards. Work closely with the Director of Administrative Translation Services to ensure smooth and efficient project management. Collaborate with translators, revisers, project managers, internal clients, and external service providers. Evaluate and analyze translation requests from various departments and propose tailored solutions. Adjust planning as priorities shift, communicating effectively with all relevant parties. Assign projets to the appropriate internal or external resources and provide them with all necessary information and reference materials. Coordinate logistics and documentation, including information gathering, use of internal tools (LogiTerm, iManage, etc.), and thorough document filing. Perform final proofreading of documents prior to publication (layout, grammar, spelling) and make necessary corrections directly in the applicable systems. Maintain smooth communication with all stakeholders involved in the translation process. Use the BridgeTerm translation management tool to closely track all requests, ensuring nothing is overlooked and all projects are delivered on time. What you will need to succeed :
College or university degree (a degree in translation is an asset), and at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in a professional setting. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may also be considered. High level of bilingualism, spoken and written (bilingualism is required as the successful candidate will serve a primarily English-speaking internal client base across the firm's offices in Canada). Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint). Ability to quickly learn new software and digital tools. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong proofreading abilities. Proven ability to manage projects and use translation management software effectively. Strong team spirit and interpersonal skills. Diplomacy when handling sensitive situations. Excellent customer service skills. Strong autonomy, flexibility, versatility, and ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Experience in a legal firm or in the translation sector is an asset.
