Seoplus+ is an innovative digital marketing agency helping businesses worldwide reach their online potential by generating leads and increasing sales. Our clients range from local retailers to enterprise-level multinationals. We are seeking an experienced Senior SEO Specialist to join our rapidly growing team and lead strategic initiatives across multiple high-value client accounts. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of demonstrated success in search engine optimization, preferably in an agency environment.

As a senior team member, you will drive SEO strategy, mentor junior specialists, and serve as a technical authority while maintaining direct client relationships. We're looking for a strategic thinker who can translate complex SEO concepts into actionable recommendations and measurable results. This is a hybrid role and work is performed from the Ottawa office at least 3 days per week.

• Lead technical SEO audits and provide advanced optimization recommendations
• Guide content strategy through data-driven keyword research and competitive analysis
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical oversight on client projects

Primary Responsibilities

• Drive enterprise-level SEO strategy development and implementation
• Lead technical site audits and provide advanced optimization recommendations
• Develop comprehensive search strategies aligned with client business objectives
• Oversee link-building campaigns and digital PR initiatives
• Create and present executive-level reports and strategic recommendations
• Identify emerging SEO trends and implement innovative solutions
• Guide cross-functional teams in implementing technical SEO recommendations
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members
• Manage client relationships and serve as SEO subject matter expert
• Drive process improvements and best practices across the SEO department
• Collaborate with leadership on department strategy and growth initiatives

Experience and Skills

• 5+ years of professional SEO experience with demonstrated success
• Proven track record of improving search visibility for enterprise-level websites
• Advanced knowledge of technical SEO, including JavaScript frameworks and API integrations
• Expert-level proficiency with major SEO tools (Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.)
• Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and major CMS platforms
• Advanced experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and data visualization
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members
• Excellence in stakeholder management and client communication
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making
• Track record of successful enterprise-level SEO campaigns
• Advanced knowledge of structured data, schema markup, and technical optimization
• Experience with international SEO and multilingual optimization
• Google certification and bilingualism (English and French) preferred
