LeverageTek is actively seeking a Search Engine Optimization Writer for a 1-year contract with its Ottawa based customer.Work LocationHybrid 2x week at HQ in Ottawa Security Clearance : Enhanced ReliabilityKey Tasks- Conduct keyword research to identify high-traffic, relevant keywords and incorporate them into content.- Write, edit, and optimize content for websites, including articles, success stories, case studies, landing pages and guides.- Equally comfortable bylining, ghostwriting or updating the content written by others to enhance search engine rankings and traffic.- Develop and implement SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic.- Collaborate with the marketing team to create content that aligns with overall marketing goals and campaigns.- Monitor and analyze content performance using SEO tools and analytics to identify areas for improvement.- Stay up to date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices.- Create compelling and engaging content that adheres to brand guidelines and tone of voice.Key Qualifications- Strong understanding of SEO principles, keyword research, and on-page optimization techniques.- Proven experience as an SEO Writer or similar role.- Strong affinity for SEO tools like BrightEdge, SEMrush or AhrefsOther Qualifications- Experience using AI tools like Jasper and CoPilot for content creation- Portfolio showing 4+ years of SEO writing.- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.- Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is preferred.- Comfortable writing in both Word documents and specialize SEO writing assistants like SurferSEO, ClearScope or SemjiAssets- Bilingual in both official languages (French and English) considered a strong assetAbout LeverageTek Staffing SolutionsFounded in 2003, LeverageTek provides end-to-end, cross-functional staffing solutions throughout North America.
